Language & WorldFact
Which country has the most time zones? Not Russia.
France uses twelve time zones, more than any other country. The reason is its overseas territories: French Polynesia in the Pacific (down to UTC−10), Guadeloupe in the Caribbean, Réunion in the Indian Ocean, New Caledonia (UTC+11). Mainland France itself has only one zone. Russia has eleven, as does the US including its territories.
Useful: Whenever you hear "country", ask whether overseas territories are being counted.
