Scrolling, but with something to show for it.
Doomlearn started with a personal problem: phone in hand in the evening, an hour gone, nothing retained. The motion – swipe, next, swipe – isn’t the problem. The content is. So we swapped the content.
How a card is built
One sentence that makes you curious. Then at most 60 words of explanation with real numbers. Then one sentence on why it matters in everyday life. And always a link to the source – Wikipedia, an authority, a study. If we can’t back something up, it doesn’t go in the feed.
Why quizzes?
Reading feels like learning, but often isn’t. Being quizzed works much better. That’s why every few cards there’s a question about something you just saw. Whatever you get wrong or save comes back a few days later.
What we deliberately don’t do
No ads. No autoplay videos. No leaderboard against others. No tracking cookies. After 40 cards a day, the site asks whether that’s enough – and means it.
Found a mistake?
Every card has a “Report” button. Reports come straight to us and get checked. It’s the most important button on the site.
Who’s behind it?
Doomlearn is run by Laukart Media S.L. a small media company in southern Spain. Contact and provider details are in the legal notice.
