Mind & EverydayHow it works
How to remember intentions instead of thinking about them.
Remembering to do something later works far better when an external event supplies the trigger than when you have to monitor the clock internally. In 1997 Sellen and colleagues found event-based intentions clearly more reliable than time-based ones, even with more thinking time.
Useful: Hang the intention on an event: "When I unlock the front door, I take the post with me."
