Since 2017 your phone plan travels with you across the EU.

Since 15 June 2017, operators may not add roaming surcharges inside the EU and EEA: calls and data count as if you were at home. Regulation (EU) 2022/612 locks this in until 30 June 2032, with a fair-use limit against permanent use abroad.

Useful: Calls made from your home country to another country are not covered – those still cost extra.
