The world's largest annual human migration has a date.

Chinese New Year follows a lunisolar calendar and falls between 21 January and 20 February, on the second new moon after the winter solstice. Hundreds of millions of people travel home to their families; in China this "Spring Festival travel rush" involves billions of trips. It is celebrated across East Asia, including in Vietnam as Tết.

Useful: If you order from or travel to China in early spring, plan around these two weeks.
