Spain has lived in the wrong time zone since 1940.
Geographically, mainland Spain belongs to Greenwich time like Portugal and Britain. On 16 March 1940 Franco moved the clocks forward an hour to align with Germany; in 1942 it became permanent. In Galicia the clock is about two and a half hours off solar time in summer. In Vigo the sun sets around 22:15 at the summer solstice.
Useful: Spain's famously late dinners are partly just a shifted clock.
