What is asserted without evidence can be dismissed without evidence.
Hitchens’s razor, named after writer Christopher Hitchens, sums up the burden of proof: whoever makes a claim has to support it – you don’t have to disprove it. If someone says “this bracelet harmonises your energy”, you needn’t prove that it doesn’t. Otherwise any nonsense could count as true until refuted.
Useful: Answer bold claims with one question: “How do you know that?”
