How to check a banknote in three moves.
The ECB sums it up as FEEL, LOOK, TILT: feel the raised print you can sense with a fingertip. Look for the watermark, security thread and emerald number against the light. Tilt to reveal the hologram and portrait window, which change as the note moves.
Useful: One feature is never enough – forgeries often copy a single one well and ignore the rest.
