Your new fridge got worse overnight – on paper.
On 1 March 2021 the EU replaced the frayed A+++ scale with a clean A to G range, starting with fridges, washing machines, dishwashers, televisions and lamps. Class A was meant to stay empty at launch, so there would be headroom again.
Useful: A "C" on the new scale can beat an "A++" on the old one – only compare within one scale.
