Countries with short working weeks are often the most productive.

Labour productivity is economic output per hour worked, not per person. Grinding through long hours doesn't automatically create more value; past a certain point, each extra hour yields less. Long-run prosperity comes almost entirely from productivity growth: better machines, training, organisation. Not from longer attendance.

Useful: Measure your workday by results, not by hours in the office.
