Money & WorkFact
One hour of work a week and you aren't unemployed.
Under the International Labour Organization definition, which Eurostat also uses, anyone who worked at least one paid hour in the survey week counts as employed. Unemployed means not working at all, actively searching and available immediately. Anyone who has given up searching drops out of the rate entirely.
Useful: Only compare unemployment rates once you know how each country counts.
