Mind & EverydayHow it works
How seven questions turn one idea into ten.
SCAMPER is Bob Eberle’s 1971 checklist for generating ideas. Take an existing product and ask: Substitute – replace what? Combine – merge with what? Adapt – borrow what from elsewhere? Modify – enlarge or shrink? Put to other use – what else is it for? Eliminate – what can go? Reverse – flip it? Each question forces a different angle.
Useful: When stuck on a problem, walk through the seven letters once.
