Money & WorkFact
The expensive products sit exactly where you're looking.
Supermarkets plan every shelf with so-called planograms. At eye level, roughly 120 to 160 cm, sit the highest-margin products, often branded goods. Cheap own-label items go on the bottom shelf or up high where you have to reach. Children's sweets sit at child eye level. Manufacturers pay for good slots, and that cost is baked into the price.
Useful: Glancing down often saves more on a weekly shop than any discount coupon.
