The credit-card setting that costs you hundreds of euros.
With a true credit card, the bank collects your spending and debits it once a month. Pay the full amount then and the credit costs nothing. But some cards default to partial payment: only a fraction is debited, the rest stays as a loan, often at over 10% interest per year. On a €2,000 balance that's over €200 a year.
Useful: Check in your card app whether full or partial payment is set.
